About Us
The Nanotechnology Focus Group was formed to
help foster the growth and commercialization of nanotechnology in North Texas.
Sponsored by the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and the Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC), the
Nanotechnology Focus Group was formed in September of 2005 to support alternative
commercialization strategies necessary for attracting Nanotechnology business
opportunities to the North Texas area. With the City of Richardson as a central focal
point of efforts involving Academia, Research, Development, Capital, and Commerce, the
Nanotechnology Focus Group envisions a Nanotechnology Cluster that will grow to global
participation.
The Nanotechnology Focus Group welcomes all forms of participation from a variety of
Business, Institutional, and Academic organizations in Texas. This open forum supports a
variety of diverse technical and business efforts that will further enhance opportunities
to develop a Nanotechnology commerce in the North Texas Region.

Our group meets on the first Tuesday of every month, and our meetings are open to the
public. Our meeting format generally includes a guest speaker from the industry, and
includes lunch and a terrific opportunity to meet other group attendees and guests.
